Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Eggs are made-from-scratch in our New Jersey location. Light and fluffy, this marshmallow is mixed and beat to the perfect consistency and piped to the best shape for maximum tasting pleasure. Each egg is then coated in milk or dark chocolate and bagged to share or luxuriate in some “alone time”. This handmade chocolate piece offers one of the most satisfying "snaps" as you bite through the hard chocolate shell into the soft, tender marshmallow.

how it began...
In the early 1950s, Thomas Allen Burry (known as Allen) moved from Canada to New Jersey, where he joined his father in the candy business. Allen had a passion for sweets, storytelling, and hockey — and a stubborn streak that would serve him well.
After working in candy production and serving in the U.S. Army, Allen met Anna Jane Blackford at a church book club. Nine months later, they were married and soon had their first child.
Allen gained experience in the fudge world at Peterson’s House of Fudge in Delaware, and he and Anna relocated to Flemington, NJ, to start their own candy business.
In 1961, The Fudge Shoppe was born. With little more than faith, hustle, and three children under 10, Allen built a legacy that continues today.
The Fudge Shoppe is now run by the second and third generation of Allen’s family, who carry on Allen and Anna’s legacy with the same passion, care, and sweet tooth. What began as one man’s dream - and a tiny roadside shop— has grown into three welcoming locations and a growing online shop that ships delicious handcrafted chocolates nationwide.
